A Magazine E-Reader the Size of a Sheet of Paper?

Really? Really?? What is this, 1986?

"You'll be able to download a magazine directly to the device, which will be sized about the same as a standard sheet of paper. The company plans to sell the devices to other publishers and take a portion of the profits made when users download magazines and newspapers.

"Given the evolving state of the technology, the Hearst reader is likely to debut in black and white and later transition to high-resolution color with the option for video," Fortune said."

No colour. Giant size. Only for magazines. Nope nope nope.

An e-book is a different animal than a physical book - same with the 'e-magazine' and its paper cousin. I think it's time for Hearst to re-think this venture.
