Anne Michaels Needs a Good Night's Rest

McClelland & Stewart is running what I consider to be a fairly rad contest.

As we all know, I don't work for M&S so no one paid me to do this. In case you were wondering.

Sign up for their BookLounge business and you could win a copy of Anne Michaels' new novel The Winter Vault, slated to hit stores March 31, 2009 (you will probably hear a distinct thud that day which would be the weight of expectation). A ticket is also provided to see Michaels in conversation with Seamus O'Regan at the Isabel Bader theatre.

YET, yet if Michaels is as sleepy (stoned?) as she is on the cover of said Q&Q issue, maybe the event won't be such a treat.

Am I right or am I right?

Also, in an interview with Anne Michaels in April's Quill & Quire, the interview kinda sorta says the book is heartless but if the language is as gorgeous as that of Fugitive Pieces, I'm sold.

I'm getting my hands on a Winter Vault ARC on Sunday...which granted, is like two days before it's in stores, but it'll get it in my hands sooner than Amazon or the TPL!
